Crime's not petty

What is going on at the moment? In the last month:

• David had his scooter nicked
• Lauren had her car broken into
• Jane had her bicycle robbed...
• ... as did McD

All these happened at different times and locations. As you can imagine, the police force has applied all it's resources to solving the crimes but, despite eye witnesses and CCTV footage the criminals are still at large.
